My New Year’s Hat

One of the items Chris bought me for Christmas this year was Cargo’s 10th Anniversary Set. The set contains all full size items (medium bronzer, blush, reverse lipliner, powder & lip gloss duo) and is an amazing value at $45 (considering the Coral Beach blush alone normally retails for $26). I really love Cargo’s blushes & bronzers and was excited to play with the set.

Get yours before they are sold out and banish that pale winter skin!

I need inspiration. After months of planning holiday menus and slaving away in the kitchen, I have no idea what to cook. Our standard weeknight meals of salmon, shrimp or chicken with veggies or rice seem boring. And after eating so many turkey and ham dinners I don’t want anything heavy.

This happens to me every so often. I want new flavors, new recipes, new cooking challenges! Throw out the old menus and bring in something completely new.

Tonight I think I will curl up with my new Joy of Cooking (Christmas present from Chris) and some of my Barefoot Contessa‘s and see if I can’t find at least 2 or 3 new recipes. I have a bottle of Indonesian Ginger marinade just sitting in the pantry waiting to be used on chicken. Hmm.. maybe that will be what I cook on New Years…

If you have any new and exciting recipes, send them my way!! Oh, and I need to break in my new Le Creuset dutch oven, so anything involving dutch ovens will be particularly appreciated!!
