Holy Crap!Just got back from my 36 week Dr. appt. and found out that basically I could give birth any second! ACK!
I’m 3.5 cm dilated and 80% effaced. So I could walk around this way for a few more weeks, or I could deliver tomorrow. Needless to say both the Doctor and I were pretty shocked. I don’t really feel like I’ve been having any contractions and was not expecting to have made so much progress this early. So Daphne might be an August baby, or an early September one. According to the Dr. if I do by some chance make it to 39 weeks he’ll induce me then. I was so sure I’d either be on time, or late. I swear, I have no maternal instinct… first I didn’t think I was pregnant, then I was sure we were having a boy, and now I could be giving birth a few weeks early.. huh, I thought I was supposed to have some kind of intuition about this. Tonight I’ll be making sure my hospital bag is 100% ready to go!

NBC13 Weather ForecastPlease have a moment of silence on Tuesday for my poor AC unit that I’m sure is going to blow up if we really have a high of 108. *Cries*

Around Town
Wow, have I really gotten that big?Tomorrow marks the 34 week point in my pregnancy. It’s funny how it creeps up on you and suddenly you are almost ready to deliver. Another thing that has crept up on me has been my ever growing waistline. After not looking pregnant at all for so many months, suddenly I keep knocking my stomach into things. Maternity clothes that were baggy now barely fit. And I’m sure it will only get worse.
Yesterday as I was doing laundry I came across a black t-shirt in my hamper. I picked it up, wondered who it belonged to (it looked small!) until it dawned on me- it was mine. I had put all my pre-pregnancy clothes into storage a few months ago, and I’ve been so used to big maternity tops that it was a bit of a shock to compare them to my old clothes. Just for kicks I tried it on. Let’s just say it fit fine in the shoulders and that’s about it. It looked like a crop top. Chris got a laugh out of it.
