Sublime Stitching

January 27th, 2008

Sublime Stitching has some really fun embroidery patterns on their site. I’ve looked at them a number of times but never had a specific project in mind so I haven’t purchased any.  I might have to buy a few.  Today I was checking out the Sublime Stitching Flickr pool and got inspired.  Check out this embroidered skirt from Jenne Girl.  How cute!  And the patterns are really inexpensive.

All of these embroidery projects reminded me of some clothing my mom made for me as a little girl.  Here’s one of my toddler shirts:

I like how she did my initials at the collar.  On the back yoke is a row of kitties.  I actually remember wearing this.  So, I think I might give it a try for Daphne.  One good thing about embroidery is it’s easy, cheap and I can do it while sitting in front of the TV with Chris. Now I just have to decide what pattern to choose.
