New Fridge

Our 5 year old refrigerator pooped out on us Friday.  This left us with 3 choices:

1. Fix it ourselves.  Yeah right.  We are not handy people.  One of our last home projects (replacing our ceiling fan) ended up with Chris getting shocked by a live wire and thrown into the wall.  And we still have the wall imprint of his butt to remember the occasion.
2. Find a repairman to come out sometime this week and charge us at least a couple hundred bucks to fix our old fridge.  I hate hate hate hate hate dealing with repairmen and contractors.  Really.  Unless Chris is home to deal with them we always end up getting overcharged.  Plus we’d be without a fridge for at least the weekend, and maybe Monday/Tuesday.
3. Buy a new one and have it delivered same day.

We went with option #3.

Sometimes homeownership is a pain in the ass.  Especially since we can’t do much of the work ourselves. Yet another reason to move home. Then we can just pick up the phone and say, “Dad, can you please come over and help us?”
