Such a serious face for a 15 month old.

I’m determined to try and get a few nice pictures of Daphne in the silk dresses I bought for her last year at the Janie and Jack Season Finale sale, before she grows out of them. We just aren’t sure where to take them. Unfortunately, natural light/indoor photos are impossible with the sun screens on the windows. It’s just too dark inside. The local parks aren’t exactly pretty, but at least we’d have a larger space to shoot. Hmm.. we might have to scout out a few locations.

Allow me to try my hand at a caption…

There are a few excellent places inside the loop that make excellent locations for that silk dress. May I suggest the Houston Arboretum on Woodway, the Hermann Park/Mecom Fountains area, and Sam Houston Park with the rustic church, pond (trees have lovely fall colors a couple weeks ago) and Sam Houston Park downtown. These are places often used for engagement and sweet 16 photos, so the elegant setting will work well.

For example, one such image from the Arboretum is at http://www.flickr.com/photos/crossmage/3103134713/

It’s a precious photo, and she is a beautiful girl.

Chris- You are right. She is channeling Scarlett! There is another picture on my Flickr photostream that looks like she’s telling a dastardly villian not to tie her to the railroad tracks. She has the funniest expressions.

Crossmage- Thank you so much for the suggestions! I can’t wait to check them out.

Is there any where in town with lots of lovely wide stairs, she might look like cinderella leaving the ball.
