Eager Favorites

Here are a few things I love.

Babywearing- Currently I have two pouch slings (Hotslings and Peanut Shell), two ring slings (a Taylor Made Solarveil and a Maya Lightly Padded), one mei tai (Babyhawk) and a soft structured carrier (Ergo). We used the mei tai when Daph was younger and the Ergo now for most things. Still trying to work out the ring slings (they are relatively new) and never really used the pouch slings. If we have another kid, I want to add a Moby or similar wrap to my stash.

Etsy- I love to support independent artists and crafters and Etsy makes it super simple to “buy handmade.”

Photography & Post Processing- I’m not the professional in the family, but I do love learning more about photography as I get a chance. I shoot with a Nikon D90 most of the time, unless I’m feeling really spunky and use my husband’s Nikon D200. For post processing I use Photoshop CS3 & Lightroom 2.0, a zillion free Lightroom presets that I’ve found around the web and Totally Rad! and Nichole Van actions for Photoshop.

MAC Cosmetics- I love MAC. Lately I’ve been loving the 187 foundation brush (Oh MAC skunk brush, where have you been all my life? My foundation has never looked better) and the Moisturecover and Studio Finish concealers. Mainly because my skin went haywire while I was pregnant and hasn’t fully recovered. Oh, and I have a toddler and need all the help I can get looking awake.

Crafting- Sewing, crochet, general craftiness… pretty much everything but knitting and tying pretty bows. I suck at bows.

TV- Arrested Development (I was going to type RIP, but no… I want them to make an AD movie); Lost; Battlestar Galactica; my chick shows- Project Runway, ANTM; Barefoot Contessa, The Office
